Jesus is the peace we need when we find ourselves in darkness. Jesus provides peace in our circumstances, peace with God, and peace that rules our hearts.
Jesus provides the freedom we need from the darkness. The freedom Jesus provides a new mindset, allows us to walk closely with him, and is a freedom that can only be found in relationship with Him.
Jesus provides joy in the darkness. The joy that Jesus provides is promised for all people, comes in unexpected ways, requires us to take action and produces an outward response.
Darkness exists when we allow shame to define us, lack purpose, and see no hope for tomorrow. Darkness flees when we choose to believe in Jesus, which removes the shame, purposes purpose, and gives us hope.
